A Great Dismal Day

Yesterday was "Dismal Day" at the Great Dismal Swamp. Of course we happened to stumble across this by luck and decided to get out and explore. Afterwards we drove around a few back roads before we stopped at the Northwest River Park and Sean and Scott perfected their rock skipping skills. Here are the pictures of our adventures.

After exploring the Great Dismal Swamp, we decided to go for a drive in the back country side of North Carolina. Here is what we saw:

Look at all those soybeans.

Makes me wanna take a backroad.

After exploring the backroads, we headed to the Northwest River Park to soak in the beauty of the lake.

Home Sweet Home

For those who do not know, my sisters and I grew up for a good part of our lives on a farm. And by farm I mean, my parents have horses, dogs, cats, goats, chickens, ... at one time we even had a turtle. We had enough animals to make Dr. Doolittle envious. So this weekend when I went home, I decided to take a few pictures.....

It was raining so Kirsten and Scott shelter under an umbrella. (Which scared the crap out of North Star as usual.)

Scott is getting so big.

Little Miss Charlotte

This weekend I was fortunate to take pictures of the beautiful 3 month old Miss Charlotte. I had so much fun taking these pictures with her Mom and I definitely expanded my knowledge of photography and little babies. (Believe it or not it is different when they are not your own.)  Thank you so much for allowing me the oppertunity to learn and capture these precious moments. Here are a few of the shots. Enjoy!
